Last week, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners in Oregon held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of a new solid waste facility at the Negus Transfer Station.
The new transfer station is located in Redmond, Ore. It took $20 million in investments from the county to build. Officials claim the new, 35,000-sqaure-foot facility will provide safer and more convenient ways for customers to deposit trash as well as make it easier for Couty Solid Waste to transfer waste to Bend’s Knott Landfill.
