Targeted ratemaking seen as next customer segmentation opportunity

Targeted ratemaking could be the next significant opportunity for utilities when it comes to customer segmentation, said Tony Georgis, director at Denver, Colorado-based consulting firm NewGen Strategies & Solutions, on June 18.

He made his comments at an American Public Power Association national conference pre-conference seminar in Orlando, Fla.

Georgis was joined by Andy Reger, senior consultant at NewGen, in giving a presentation related to managing distributed energy risk.
