As part of its commitment to create a better, more environmentally sustainable world, AT&T has set a goal to achieve zero waste at 100 of its facilities by the end of 2020. Its program will start this year and will include strategies to reduce waste and increase recycling and composting, with a goal of diverting 90 percent or more of its waste from landfills.

“It takes all of us working together to protect our planet. That’s why we want to apply the power of our network and our people to be part of the waste solution,” said Charlene Lake, chief sustainability officer and senior vice president of corporate social responsibility at AT&T, in a statement.
