House leaders urge Trump to fill vacancies on FERC

Two top Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee sent a letter to the White House on March 2 urging the Trump administration to quickly fill vacant seats on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission so that the commission can once again have a quorum, and full authority to proceed with its job.

“We write to urge you to prioritize the nomination of highly qualified, experienced candidates to fill the existing vacancies” at FERC, said the committee’s chairman, Greg Walden, R-Ore., and its former chairman, Fred Upton, R-Mich., in the letter to President Trump.
