In a move to revive net metering in the state, Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval on June 15 signed legislation into law that will increase net metering payments to NV Energy customers with solar panels on their roofs.
Sandoval signed A.B. 405, which was passed by Nevada lawmakers earlier this month.
In late 2015, the Nevada Public Utilities Commission slashed net metering rates and imposed charges on net metering customers, creating turmoil in the state’s rooftop solar industry.
