New Bill Could Require NYC Businesses to Have Recycling, Compost Bins Onsite

The New York City Council is reviewing a bill this week that could require New York City businesses, including restaurants, stores, office lobby buildings and other public buildings, to place recycling and composting bins alongside trash bins.

In addition to that bill, Councilman Ben Kallos will introduce a bill that would require New York City to set a goal of sending zero waste to landfill by 2030.
