Repak Estimates Over 62,000 Tonnes of Waste to be Recycled in Ireland this Easter

Ahead of Easter, Repak is estimating an increase in the amount of recycling done by Irish residents this holiday.

Based on a survey of 1,000 adults in Ireland, Repak expects residents to recycle over 62,000 tonnes of waste, an increase of 1.8% from 2023. Repak also set out to remind residents that all Easter egg packaging, cardboard boxes, plastic molds, chocolate trays, and clean tin foil can be recycled.

According to the survey, 88% of respondents said they feel comfortable with their recycling abilities when it comes to Easter packaging. Although only 59% said they would be recycling all Easter packaging.
