TerraCycle, a Trenton, N.J.-based recycling company, has been honored with the United Nations Momentum for Change Lighthouse Activity award for turning plastic collected from oceans into shampoo bottles for Head & Shoulders.
In addition, the company is current preparing for its launch of dish soap bottles made from recycled ocean plastic, further aiming to raise awareness about the issue of plastic waste in oceans so that other companies can take the leap to help overcome these environmental challenges.
