Houston Sees Increased Involvement in Food Waste Recycling Pilot Program

Houston, Texas is a few weeks into its food waste composting program, and it is seeing a steady increase in participation.

Back on January 22, Houston kicked off the composting pilot program in partnership with Zero Waste Houston. The program is slated to run through the end of February. Zero Waste Houston will collect food waste that is left at drop-off sites around the city and compost it. Afterwards, the compost will be handed off to landscaping company Natures Way Resources.
