The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved Idaho’s request for the state to revise some of its hazardous waste provisions. The authorization will take effect on August 8.
Under the revisions, Idaho businesses that produce hazardous waste can now use an electronic tracking system rather than paper forms, solvent-contaminated rags can now be washed and reused rather than sent to disposal sites and auto repair shops and industrial manufacturers are expected to benefit from the regulatory change.
