In an effort to fill a void left by a plastics recycler that is pulling out of central Minnesota, Becker County is launching a partnership to pick up, bale and recycle farm plastics, boat wrap and greenhouse plastic.
Under the new program, farmers will pay $60 per dumpster load to have their plastics picked up by the county. Plastics will then be baled at the county’s new recycling center. After that, Arkansas-based Revolution Plastics will pick up bales by the semi load.
