California Households Waste $1,000-plus Worth of Food Every Year

Based on a survey of nearly 3,200 U.S. households, Klein Kitchen and Bath has found that California households are among the most wasteful in the country when it comes to food. According to the survey, Californian households waste more than $1,000 worth of food every year.

Additionally, a Fox 40 report points out that the survey found nearly half of survey respondents won’t eat foods marked past the “sell by” date. The report continues on to break down ways people can be more resourceful with their food.
