FCC Environmental Services was awarded a municipal residential and commercial solid waste contract for the largest of three zones in Hillsborough County for an initial contract term of eight years and eight months with a potential extension of an additional four years.
The Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County unanimously approved the contract during a recent June 3 board meeting. The total backlog of the contract with the potential extension is worth about $280 million.
