A resident of San Antonio recently received a citation for having dog waste in his recycling bin. The resident said a dog walker passing by must have placed the bag in the bin.
The city has inspectors that randomly check bins for contaminants. Solid Waste Management, who provides the collection services, said that residents can call and discuss their concerns once they receive a citation.
The company is reminding residents to not those dog waste into recycling.
