Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at SFO, named for one of the first openly gay men elected to public office in the U.S., earlier this year became the first airport terminal in the world to earn a “Platinum” certification using the latest standards from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
