The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) presented a draft of the Fiscal Year 2023-2027 Iowa Transportation Improvement Program to the Iowa Transportation Commission Tuesday.
Included in the $4.2 billion in state and federal funding expected to be available over the next five years are planned investments in the state’s multimodal transportation system covering aviation, public transit, railroads, trails, and highways. Developed and approved annually by the Commission, the plan looks at all interstate, U.S. and Iowa signed routes.
