Pennsylvania public transportation projects receive more than $617M in federal funding

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) recently awarded public transportation projects in Pennsylvania more than $617.5 million allocated through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

The funding was made available through multiple FTA grant programs, including Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities, the Rural Area Formula, the State of Good Repair Formula Program, the Urbanized Area Formula Program and state safety oversight. Funding will allow projects in both urban and rural areas to conduct infrastructure upgrades and improve access to transit for seniors and people with disabilities.
