Nestlé and French grocery store chain Carrefour are partnering with IBM’s Food Trust blockchain to track the supply chain of Mousline puree—instant mashed potatoes—to see how effective the technology is.
According to a CoinGeek report, Carrefour had already been involved in the use of the IBM Food Trust platform. The company joined the group last October to use IBM’s blockchain platform to more accurately track the transport of food across the globe. In addition, leveraging this technology could help companies reduce food waste.
