Unpredictable Ordering Leads to Increased Food Waste

As we continue to social distance to flatten the COVID-19 curve, many of us are ordering takeout to support local businesses.

New research by Just Eat and the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) shows that £1.8bn worth of takeout is thrown away every year in the United Kingdom. And since social distancing has been instituted, fluctuations in the demand and unpredictability of orders has led to a slight increase in food waste.
