Recycling Wrong Could Cost Cleveland Residents

Beginning on August 1, the city of Cleveland will issue citations and fines for residents who recycle improperly.

Two years ago, the City Council voted for “low-level” citations for trash collection and recycling enforcement. As of August 1, the city will issue citations for trash mixed with recycling, excess waste outside of city bins, bins set out too early and leaving bins out too late.
