The coronavirus is causing many obstacles for growers and producers across the nation. One major challenge is the lack of demand, which is causing billions of dollars’ worth of food to go to waste.

With many restaurants, schools, stadiums, theme parks and cruise ships closed for the time being, items like produce and milk are being tossed—in mass quantities.
