Earlier this week, State officials unveiled a massive $80 million investment to kickstart the innovative water recycling program, Pure Water Southern California.
Pure Water Southern California is set to provide a sustainable water source for 19 million people.
Lisa Calderon, Assemblywoman representing D-Whittier, emphasized the urgency of the situation, saying, “The climate crisis has put immense pressure on our region’s water supply. It is essential that we continue investing in projects like these that directly address our water needs.”
