Critical Applications Alliance, a Carlsbad-based joint venture between Texas-based Christensen Building Group and Kilgore Industries, is suing Nuclear Waste Partnership who manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy’s Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in southeast New Mexico for breach of contract.
Critical Applications Alliance was hired to rebuild the repository’s air system for $135 million, but the contract was terminated over the summer and the company alleges it was not given a reason for the termination.
