Sedgwick County, Kansas and Spirit Aerosystems recently collected waste including paint, batteries and chemicals from residents’ homes.
The focus of the event was to safely remove poisonous and flammable materials for proper disposal.
This was the first year for the event, and Spirit plans to collaborate with the county again next year.
