These figures were exceeded at Talamban National High School, where students collected over 200 kilograms of organic waste during their initial collection window. The city government subsequently focused on scaling these operations by streamlining the collection logistics and securing permanent buyers for the recycled inorganic material. Actionable next steps involved the implementation of digital tracking systems to monitor the weight of bottles more accurately and ensure timely payments to school funds. By prioritizing the youth as the primary drivers of this ecological shift, Cebu City established a replicable model for urban waste management that balanced fiscal savings with social welfare.
